Festival frenzy

As the summer months approach and the festival season begins Londoners will be jumping into camper vans or cars stuffed with tents and sleeping bags for a long weekend of music, dancing and revellery.
Now in its fifth year, Latitude Festival from July 15-18 is set in the beautiful countryside of Henham Park Estate on Suffolk's Sunrise Coast.
Flame haired songstress and 2009 cause célèbre Florence Welch headlines with Florence and the Machine at the Obelisk Arena, followed by Belle and Sebastian and Vampire Weekend.
Brooklyn-based indie rock outfit The National headline The Word Arena, followed on the billing by The xx and Grizzly Bear.
Along a nature trail in fragrant woods lies the Sunrise Arena, headlined by Girls, Archie Bronson Outfit and Darwin Deez.
Weekend tickets cost £155, days costs £65 on 0871 2310846 or www.festivalrepublic.com
Visit www.latitudefestival.co.uk for full listings.
Those hoping for tickets into one of the country's best festivals will be disappointed to learn that Bestival, which pitches up on one of the most glorious parts of the Isle of Wight at Robin Hill Country Park from September 9-12 has already sold out.
As well as the headline act, the godfathers of techno Prodigy, highlights include reggae legends and roots-rock pioneers The Wailers.
The backing band for Bob Marley, The Wailers are celebrating their 40th anniversary.
Prodigy will play their last live show for some time, so Bestival will be bouncing to band's best tracks on Sunday night in celebration.
More DJs will be stepping up to the wheels of steel with sets from La Roux and Dead Guy while Zane Lowe plays the Afterburner stage along with techno-belle Magda and beat-meisters Audio Bullys.
Worldwide don Gilles Peterson also features as does filmmaker and Clash collaborator and all-round legend Don Letts who will play a set every day.
