Police sieze cocaine and cannabis in drugs riad

SEVERAL thousands of pounds worth of cocaine, cannabis and drugs paraphernalia was seized by police on a raid last Thursday (8, writes Dipal Acharya.

Three men, aged 16, 17 and 20, were arrested for suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs after detectives swooped on the address, in Rowley Way, Kilburn.

Officers seized around half a kilo of suspected cannabis, and 100 grams of white powder believed to be cocaine, with a street value of several thousands pound.

The three men were taken to Camden police station, where they were bailed to return to the station at a later date.

Officers initiated the raid after receiving tip offs from resident of people regularly congregating outside the targeted address.

Sergeant Eddie Odita, from Kilburn Safer Neighbourhoods Team, who led the raid, said: "We executed this warrant in support of our local ward priority; to tackle antisocial behaviour in Rowley Way.

"I hope this action reassures the community that we listen to their concerns and work proactively to tackle local issues.
